Plans to increase turnover by an extra £250,000 in the next six months on the back of new business have been boosted after durhamlane landed sales worth six figures during the final quarter of the year with further work already in the pipeline.
durhamlane, which helps regional and national companies in the IT, technology, construction and manufacturing sectors develop and grow through outsourced sales and business development services, is targeting a turnover of £1 million by the end of 2015.
New work has been won across all the services the firm provides with new customers coming regionally, nationally and internationally, while recent extensions to existing work with clients Sunderland Software City and system integration specialists KDI Systems have been secured.
durhamlane has also seen continuing success for its sales graduate programme where ambitious graduates are placed with companies that want to grow.  New clients for this service include Romag, the specialist manufacturer of solar PV and specialist glass including bullet proof and security glass.
The firm is also continuing to invest significantly in its skilled workforce as it moves to meet the growing demand for its services with three experienced sales executives joining its expanding Outsourced Sales and Business Development team. Tracey Wilson, Ashley Vallance and Andrew Howie have joined the business to provide additional support and resources for the new contracts, boosting overall staff numbers to 14.
This is the latest success for durhamlane founders, directors Lee Durham and Richard Lane. They have been pioneering the firm’s innovative ‘Selling at a Higher Level’ methodology to outsourced sales, business development and consultancy work since starting the company in 2011.Currently, Richard, Lee and the team work across the UK from offices in the North East and London for a range of clients who include global online assessment company The Test Factory, Anglia Ruskin University, Falcons RFC and construction firm the Elliott Group.
Richard Lane said the latest tranche of work is among a host of valuable contracts that his company will be delivering over the coming months as it goes for growth on the back of further new business as a driver for expansion.
We are seeing continuing strong demand for our services as economic confidence holds-up and companies eschew traditional approaches to sales generation and management processes.
“This is reflected by our best ever month for sales in October, which not only saw us win new customers but, equally pleasing, secure extensions to existing clients.

“We’re also delighted to be able to continue to invest in recruiting talented people, who can provide the highest levels of customer service.
“Next year promises to be even busier as we look to develop our presence further in sectors such as engineering, which can benefit significantly from external resources and expertise as part of a strategic growth plan.”
