Posted by [Michael Knowles](https://blog.durhamlane.com/author/michael-knowles) on 07/10/15 16:45 - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) ![durhamlane_gets_world_cup_fever](https://blog.durhamlane.com/hs-fs/hubfs/durhamlane_gets_world_cup_fever.jpg?width=385&name=durhamlane_gets_world_cup_fever.jpg) That’s right… The Rugby World Cup has officially taken over at durhamlane, and luckily for us, as part of the World Cup celebrations in Newcastle, the [Falcons community foundation](http://www.newcastlefalcons.co.uk/Pages/Community/Overview) have built an artificial rugby pitch in the fanzone located only a short walk away from our building. Named the “Stadium in the City” the artificial pitches will be hosting corporate touch rugby tournaments over the next few days, and our durhamlaners are chomping at the bit to take part in the fun. With a mix of sporty men and women in our outsourced sales teams, all keen rugby fans, the durhamlane contingent are looking forward to competing in the friendly 6 a-side touch Rugby games! As you’d expect from a [business development](http://durhamlane.co.uk/services/outsourced-solutions/) and sales performance company though, we have some rather competitive individuals, not least our two Rugby mad directors Lee Durham and Richard Lane, as well as our resident personal trainer and rugby nut Luke Robinson, all of whom I can guarantee will be doing all they can to win, so remember to bring you’re A-Game if we meet you in the final!
